Damian Diaries

Have just come home from dinner at the Jones residence. Yummy. Had an okay day but I didn't do any tidying so I have to do it now. Hehe, Damian said to me today, "You're beautiful Mummy." AWWWW!! Good boy. On Tuesday after I go to the gym, I'm going to take Damian to the zoo for a look around. He found a basket here at home today and said it was a picnic basket so hoping the weather is fine(otherwise we'd postpone the trip) and we'll pack a wee picnic as well which will impress him no end. Hopefully. He's so into animals at the moment. Makes all the noises. So cute.

Made a purchase for (new)baby today. Got a beautiful Moses basket and rimu stand off Trade Me. It's brand new, and I got it through some people who have a business selling them and neat cots so I know I got a good deal. I am paying it off and I am just so excited to get it. On Tuesday I want to layby a Mountain Buggy - but I might wait until Andrea is back so I can do it through her instead of Sue. You just never know how things will go down with her. I want to get a change table as well. I thought the Genesis Multifunction would be best because afterwards we can use it as something else instead of worrying where to store it. It will be easy as well to do the bath 'cos I can wheel the change table into the bathroom, use our shower hose to fill it up and then use the bath drain to empty it out. Oh, one more thing, that playgym with all the extras is so mine as well!!! Might put that on hold for me tomorrow 'cos there was only one left and I don't want to miss out. Got my capsule back from Fina tonight so that's strapped in the car already!

I'm back after a long few months with no computer. This one is so cool!!!

BIG news in our world. I am pregnant and the baby is due in February. Very happy!

Damian is so good still. Just keep him busy and he's happy. Took him to the rugby last night. NPC game waikato and wellington. He had a blast and played with taniora all night. he woke up this morning and searched the house for taniora, who had gone home long after bed time!!

Am tired at the moment so will update tomorrow, just wanted to make sure this thing worked!

After a lot of bad weather recently, we've woken up to quite a nice looking day, albeit still chilly! Might plan a trip to the lake. Damian's been dying to go for ages.

Corina is pregnant with her second bubs. I'm really happy for her, it's exciting! I'm in the midst of trying to plan a date for Damian's Lollipops party when he turns three. I can't wait. Then a few days later Dad will be in the country, I hope Damian likes him.

We're listening to 'crocodile song'. Boy oh boy it's cold at the moment. I got up before Damian this morning! I might try and do that every morning as it was nice to start the day off quiet and be out here when he woke.

I wish that I didn't have to go to work. Not so much that I don't like my job, just that if I was at home I could really enjoy it and get lots done. I'm going to try and eat healthy from now as well!!

Damian's playing with his trucks. I got him a new rubbish truck the other day and he loves it heaps!! Jess left daycare the other week to start somewhere else. That was sad, for all of us I think! He's still got Cheree though so he's happy with that. He is learning loads there and came home saying the other day, "Hey I know what we can do..." so we've been hearing that lots.

Went to Rotorua the other day for a drive to drop Kate off. It looks like a nice place so I want to go back there for a stay even and have a proper look around. Maybe that is something to do when Dad's here. He's coming in October.

We're staying at Miranda's house. Only for another one night. Got here last night. I really love it here aye. The sooner that we move here the better. Feels like a proper family house, and a nice quiet town.

Damian is great. Cheeky as ever. He know's his alphabet and is good at counting. He is really enjoying daycare. At the moment Benji is outside with him and they're playing in the garden. Last Saturday, Ken took Damian to see the Firetruck open day in Hamilton. I'm not sure who would have enjoyed it the most!

Haven't been in here for a wee while. Damian's good. I got him some Bob the Builder trackies from work yesterday, so he wore those today and loved them. He knows his alphabet, and he can count to 10. His teacher from daycare is on her OE for the next 6 weeks. He still tells me that she's at daycare. LOL. Poor boy, he will miss her. Tomorrow I'm going to make a video for my Dad of Damian to send over. Then on Friday night we're going to Mum's for the weekend.

I really want to get Damian a new booster seat. It's $400 so maybe not!! Safe'n Sound MaxiRider II.

Easter. Good Friday. Just took Damian to the Uni lake to feed the ducks there. Seems a nice little lake, we may just start taking him there more often. He's a bit scared of the ducks.
He is really good. Very naughty lately though eek. Not too sure how to handle that, but really though he's still a good boy. Toilet training - nil. Miranda is coming to see us on Sunday, so are the Holts.

Damian is at Mum's house. Not too sure at all how I feel about it! Very empty. But then again I think a little bit of that could be because I'm not there as well!!! He's gone for three days. I packed his suitcase and bag of toys and clothes and gave him some money. Not that he can spend it. Showed Mum and Ken how to fold and open our pram. Just spoke to him on the phone which was cool 'cos I've never done that before. Mum said he didn't cry or anything and he sounds really happy. Leonie had just come over and given him some chocolate and he was off playing with Maggie.

Kaea was born late last night in England!!

So tired. Don't know why. Damian had a crying session at 6:40am this morning. Could have something to do with it! Vibex going well.

Damian's hair is really curly of late. He can almost count to ten, just gets confused sometimes. He can look at something big and something small and tell the difference between, like which is the small one, and which is the big one. He's so smart, it's cool. He hardly ever swears anymore so that's great! Hehe. I haven't taken any photos of him in a while, so I probably should get out and get snapping this afternoon when he wakes from his nap. He's asked to go to the lake to see the ducks.

I have another headache, and the hayfever is back. I joined Vibex yesterday and had my first go this morning.

Damian is great. His hair has all of a sudden turned really curly. He's a good boy. Love him loads. We went on the bus yesterday and went and I got him a little Bob bag, which he loves. I'm going to let him take it to daycare on Friday.

Mum and Ken came over on Friday afternoon. They had Maisee and Gill with them. They are the two ladies living in Leonie's house for a few months. I reckon Mum will be sad to see them go. They're from England. We took them to the Gardens this morning, as they were due to go home, but they wanted to stay a little while first before Damian and I went to the Teddy Bears Picnic. That was good walking around, then we had a drink and they left. I always hate it when Mum and Ken have to leave. Damian does as well, he always cries.

Yesterday Mum and Ken took the ladies to Waitomo Caves. In the morning though, Ken drove me to work, via Bunnings to get a latch for the gate. After he dropped me off, he took Damian to the supermarket to get some things. Last night we went to Gengys for tea. YUMMO!!! We stopped off and had a couple of shots at PieLab.

Grandad's birthday yesterday. Love.

Fina had her baby 5.2.07. Bayleigh is so cute!! Makes me want another baby now.

It's very hot now. Today Ken came over and we went to Cambridge in his ute. A simple day but I really enjoyed it and I was pretty sad when he went home. I reall miss having my family close. I'd go over there house all the time if they lived in the same town as us. I wouldn't go shopping or eat lots 'cos I'd be over at their house and I wouldn't be bored, lonely or any of the other things that I usually feel when Benji is at work. Marjorie gave Damian two teddies that Ken's Mum brought a long time ago so that was cool.

Yesterday Damian did a little poo on the toilet. Today, within the space of 10 minutes he made a big pee puddle on the windowsil; the carpet; the spare bed. So he's got a nappy back on. I got him a toilet seat from work and he really likes it - as in he will sit on it for ages. Am thinking of shipping him off to Mum's and she can train him.

had a sleep in today. Was up at 8am. Went and had an iced coffee at Jeff's. Then we went and did grocery shopping. Came home and I cleaned the whole house, all I have left to do is put away the washing in my room. Jenna came around and that was good as we haven't caught up in a while. Then we had a video call with Granny, Ken and Mum. Cooked and ate dinner and then went and saw Kate and her new house. Damian was frightened but he'll warm up after he's seen her a few times.

We are living week by week with our money at the moment which really sucks as it makes it feel like I'm working for nothing. It's pay day today and already we have no money in the bank. It really is depressing and I'm finding it a wee bit hard to get over. I'm trying so hard to think of ways to get more money but I just can't think of anything that would help us.

I really want to go for a walk as it is lovely and cool outside but no one will come with me. I need to find a walking buddy.

ken rung before and told me to go outside and look for the comet. i stood on the deck and saw it low in the sky over toward ham. east mcdonalds. WOW! it's pretty interesting to look at.
damian made muffins at daycare today! they were good!

Christmas was fab - over too soon though. I knew that I'd get all sad about having to come home, especially since I have to work tomorrow - my birthday. I'll be 24.

Christmas went well. Damian opened a couple of Santa presents with just Benji and I in the bedroom, and then we went out to join the others. Granny was the last up. Ken cooked us bacon and eggs. We took Maggie out for a run on the field, and just had a nice time, and then it was inside for presents. Damian got a lot of stuff. I think towards the end that he was getting so much that he'd had enough of it all. He got lots of toys, books and a few clothes. Ken liked his CD and Mum loved her shirt. Granny really liked her coffee grinder and she made us all a cup later on in the day. Benji liked the presents that I got for him.

Birthday tomorrow. Will write more later about that.

This is Damian with the present he made us at daycare. He got to ice his own two biscuits and they wrapped them in cellofane. He was so proud of it - as you can see by the grin! He's been doing a lot of Christmas things at daycare recently, comes home with his face painted even! I got a present each for Jess and Cheree. He also drew in a Christmas card for us.

We took the bus to Chartwell this morning and borrowed a mall stroller and went shopping. It was heaps of fun! Then we went to The Base - not so fun as the stuff I was carrying was heavy and I didn't have my own stroller. Damian was starved and deprived of sleep, so I felt bad. I just have a few more presents to get tomorrow. We're going to drop in and see Elsie tomorrow morning. I got her a calendar with cats on it. It'll fit right into her living room, if she hasn't already got one! I'm really looking forward to Christmas, but I'm being quite pesimistic and thinking about it being over too soon. I loved Christmas as a kid, playing with my cousins at the beach and on the dunes! Damian is starting to get excited now, it's the first time he's really been into it so I can't wait to see him open his presents.

Have no idea what to get Mum :-|

Christmas is nearly here.

I have most of Damian's things now. Just have to get one more layby and a few little things for his stocking. Then I still have to get everyone elses stuff. I'm hoping to get on the bus next Tuesday and go to Chartwell or The Base and get a lot of things. Which reminds me, we really should get Benji's phone ordered. I don't even know what I'm getting everyone else, I'll just decide when I see things. Damn it. Work just rung and they wan't me to work on Sunday. I may as well - it's only 10 - 4 but it's with that stupid girl and the boss that sort of ignores me a little. I will probably say yes though as I need the money. I will miss Damian mind you.

Damian had his Lintott party last night at Lollipops. It was good to go to that. He spent a lot of time with his teacher. He sort of played on his own a fair bit so I'll ask if that's normal. Might have just felt like it though because that day I had a few Mum's over with their kids and he did play with them. He didn't take too kindly to them touching his toys though!!

I had the yummiest brekkie yesterday. Went to Indulge and had Jam Bagel. Which was 2 halves of bagel, a pottle of cream cheese and jam, sliced strawberries, sliced honeydew melon all dusted with icing sugar. It was so good and I even ate the melon which I don't normally do. Speaking of food, I seriously have to diet. I'm such a tubby! Better go - washing needs hanging out and house needs tidying before Damian wakes up.

I really need to get a printer that works so that I can print off Damian's journal and get it updated in his folder.



Damian is a bit cheeky now. He blows raspberries all the time. Apart from that he's not too naughty!! I'm loving having more time at home with him. This morning we went out and played on the swing for ages. I've had really bad hayfever lately, but this morning I got some Zyrtec so hopefully I can manage it better and live normally!! If that goes away I'll be better with Damian. He is good. We learnt how to build with duplo and he likes to build firetrucks with the cow driving. He really likes the Wiggles still. His favourite thing to do is hold my hands and jump up and down to the music.

We're having a coffee group Christmas thing here next week. I am really looking forward to it, and I hope the weather is fine, a few people turn up(so that it's not embarrasing) and we all have a good time. Damian is out cleaning the bbq with his old toothbrush. Hehe, good boy.

Granny came over on Sunday and we trimmed some trees out the back so now all that needs to be done is the weeding which I can't see it being done as I'm not going near it for fear my hayfever will attack me, and Benji won't. I'm waiting on a new pram to arrive, hopefully by the end of the week.

I haven't been on here in ages. Baby Factory going well. That is to say I don't dread going to work and the time goes fairly swiftly. I don't cry just thinking about work anymore. It is pretty stressful though. We have to follow things so much by the HO book that I'm always scared of stuffing something up. Everyone says how mean the boss is as well, which I haven't experienced yet so I'm a little scared about that as well.

Damian is good. Gets a little more cheeky now. Blows raspberries and says NNNOOOOOOO!!! a lot. Fairly well behaved though, and very loving. I really enjoy being with him more. On Wednesday he had a temp of 39.8 so that was pretty scary but the next day he was his normal self. He still loves to ride his bike and LOVES being outside. He talks on the phone to people now. I'm thinking of joining in with the Plunket walkers group on Tuesday mornings. Also want to get him into some swimming lessons in the new year. Was thinking of taking him along to athletics, but he might be a bit young yet. Getting another pram in a few weeks. Have heaps of stuff layby'd for his Christmas, haven't even thought about anyone else yet.

Our vacuum broke, so hopefully Benji will get me a Dyson. Hehe.
